Tablet War

So in the decision to purchase a tablet, I have decided to go with the Motorola Xoom. It was a hard decision to make, and I wont be getting one for a little bit (for financial reasons). There was a lot to consider. Here are the pros of the Xoom and iPad2 I found.

Xoom

• Screen size -More of a landscaped widescreen setup
• Expandable Memory
• Flash playback
• The OS and how it functions is way cool
• I can use all the same apps I have on my phone. (Which is a big one)
• More free apps

iPad 2

• The cleanness of the iOS
• The ability to play DRM files
• Lightweight (compared to the Xoom it is lighter)
• Most companies release apps for the iOS before any other platform
• Netflix, and Hulu plus are already on iOS devices

Those are the main things I could think of. There were also a lot of similarities.

• Processor speed
• Both front and rear facing cameras
• I could either one for school, like putting my text books on it etc.
• Both have high resolution screens.

Now I like apple I think they make really good product. I know lots of people who have iPhones and Mac computers and love them, and why shouldn't they. This is just me and my reasons for wanting a Xoom, and hey maybe I'll change my mind when the time comes who knows. These are just what I'm working on right now. I have had Android phones for a while now, and I absolutly love it. Since I can use all the same apps on my Xoom that I have on my phone, and they are working on more tablet apps this is why I have chosen it. If I have missed anything let me know.

Anberlin

I went the Anberlin concert last week, and it was awesome. They are one of my favorite bands, and are amazing live. The concert was a new venue called the Complex. It was an ok venue, but they had some minor problems with the sound. It was still a way good concert though.

Invincible

So I have been really into this comic lately. It's called Invincible. It's an Image comic. If you don't know what Image is, click here. Invincible is comic written by Robert Kirkman, the writer of Image comics The Walking Dead, The Outstanding Wolf-Man and others. Invincible has been a great for Image comics. It is great story with some really great characters..... and some terrible characters, but that's the point of villains. It has really caught my interest. I have been reading the trade paperbacks. I'm currently on volume 5. There are 11 volumes so far. I enjoy reading it and I love the story.

Clean Shaven!

So at my job I was told I had to shave. That is something that is frustrating to me, because I really liked my goatee. It made me look older. I look like I'm 16 now it's stupid. I kinda understand were he is coming from. I still don't think it's a big deal. I was doing my job just fine before.

Tree hugging and chopping!

So I was at Bed Bath and Beyond the other day. I was walking through the kitchen supplys, and saw something I didn't understand, the "Eco Kitchen Cutting Board". The first thing I thought was "how does a cutting board harm the environment?" I'm all for being good to the earth, and everything but what the crap! I think people take things a little too far. Whats next the Eco toilet seat? The Eco utensils? How about the Eco towel!?
Cars that drive farther on less gas, and appliances that run on less electricity. These and several other things make sense to me. Unless it's a Prius they are ugly..... anyways. does everything have to be green?
Something else that bugs me, that I don't want to go into to is, the governments control of all this. They try to force all this green stuff on us. It's kinda ridiculous.

Munchkins

So the last few months, me and my friends have been addicted to this card game. The game is called Munchkins. It is way fun! The premise of the game is that it makes fun of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D). The original game titled munchkins is fantasy themed. It has many references to D&D and other fantasy related things. It is loads of fun. There are also many different versions. I have "Munchkin Impossible" which is spy themed, and "Munchkin Booty" Which is pirate themed. The purpose of the game is to get your character to level 10 (or 20 if your playing the alternate "Epic rules"). You draw cards to fight monsters and get items to help you. You can also play cards against your friends. Part of the fun is making attacking your friends, and making alliances.
